چکیده

Chaetopteryx villosa (Fabricius, 1798) is a caddisfly species distributed throughout Europe, except in the Balkan and Apennine Peninsula. However, phylogenetically close belonging to C. group are widespread entire Europe. Species of this ( , gessneri fusca sahlbergi atlantica, bosniaca vulture, trinacriae ) have distinct distributions with some overlaps. Adult forms these morphologically similar, whereas larval morphology only known for species. There also indications hybridization (e.g., x ). Presumably, molecular approach determination would be highly beneficial. In BOLD database, there 154 specimens COI-5P barcodes Out remaining species, has 27 barcode, 20, 5, atlantica 1, sequences from vulture missing. Therefore, we tested power discrimination COI -5P marker group, as most common barcoding markers identification animals. Only public records originating experienced research groups or taxonomists containing specimen photograph were taken input. A total 75 database obtained. sequences, 11 belonged 5 52 bosniaca, 2 . For generation overview trees, Rhyacophila fasciata Rh. nubila used outgroups. All trimmed at 5’ 3’ ends, resulting final alignment length 516 base pairs. Multiple sequence alignments editing done MEGA-X software. Analysis nucleotide polymorphism was DNASP6 calculate pairwise distance overall mean p-distance, construct trees. DNA revealed 14 haplotypes 3 gessneri, one no significant interspecific intraspecific differences among based on distances. The p-distance between 0.000, varied 0.001 about 0.055. all equaled 0.03. No species-specific clusters observed when phylogenetic trees constructed regardless method (i.e., NJ, UPGMA, ML, ME, MP). Exploring the Use of Cytochrome Oxidase c Subunit 1 (COI) for DNA Barcoding of Free-Living Marine Nematodes

BACKGROUND The identification of free-living marine nematodes is difficult because of the paucity of easily scorable diagnostic morphological characters. Consequently, molecular identification tools could solve this problem. Unfortunately, hitherto most of these tools relied on 18S rDNA and 28S rDNA sequences, which often lack sufficient resolution at the species level. In contrast, only a few ...

The biometric and cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) gene sequence analysis of syngnathus abaster (Teleostei: Syngnathidae) in Caspian sea

The black-striped pipefish, Syngnathus abaster, is a species of the Syngnathidae family. This study provides data on the morphometric, meristic and genetic structuring of the Caspian Sea pipefish, Syngnathus abaster. Eight morphometric characteristics based on total length and five morphometric characteristics based on standard length were analyzed. A total of 50 specimens were collected in bra...

DNA barcoding of oomycetes with cytochrome c oxidase subunit I and internal transcribed spacer

Oomycete species occupy many different environments and many ecological niches. The genera Phytophthora and Pythium for example, contain many plant pathogens which cause enormous damage to a wide range of plant species. Proper identification to the species level is a critical first step in any investigation of oomycetes, whether it is research driven or compelled by the need for rapid and accur...

DNA metabarcoding and the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I marker: not a perfect match.

DNA metabarcoding enables efficient characterization of species composition in environmental DNA or bulk biodiversity samples, and this approach is making significant and unique contributions in the field of ecology. In metabarcoding of animals, the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene is frequently used as the marker of choice because no other genetic region can be found in taxonomically ...

Molecular characterization of Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) annulatus from Iran by sequences of cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) and the second internal transcribed spacer (ITS2)

Background: Traditionally, morphological features of Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) annulatus from closely-related ticks have been considered for their identification and differentiation. However, it is difficult and requires expertise in order to accurately identify and differentiate engorged female ticks and some developmental stages such as larva and nymph from other similar ticks. Hence, molecul...
